Volvo Climate Control
On 2008 and newer Volvo XC70/V70 vehicles, owners can find the climate control unresponsive or just work on a very low blower setting. The most common fix for this is the blower motor resistor that is located by the gas pedal. However, it can also be easily misdiagnosed because a bad climate control module can mimic the same symptoms. Oftentimes when a climate control module is found bad in these specific years and models, it is due to water intrusion that causes corrosion on the circuit board. The front windshield seals can fail in a way that goes undetected until electrical gremlins make their appearance. It is always important to routinely check for water intrusion, especially if there are warning signs present, like condensation inside the cabin or a mildew smell. A&M Auto Repair Bellevue will always take into account all aspects of a problem and strive to properly diagnose their root cause.
