Volvo Heater Core
For Volvo V50 and S40 owners, heater core can be an expensive repair, but many times they can be misdiagnosed. The heater core inlet and outlet pipes have a junction that is sealed by o-rings that can fail and make it look like a leaking heater core. Another problem arises when this junction leaks is the leaking coolant can make its way inside your CEM, (Central Electronic Module), that happens to sit below the heater core junction. If coolant has intruded into the CEM, we highly recommend disassembling the module to clean and dry out all coolant contamination that can potentially cause corrosion and premature failure of a very expensive computer module.
