Volvo Sunroof Drain

A common issue well known amongst Volvo V50 and S40 owners are clogged sunroof drains. Here at A&M Auto Repair Bellevue, we recommend checking your sunroof drains twice a year. Our sunroof drain maintenance procedure starts with the technician making sure no buildup of pollen and debris are found at the sunroof drains. Next step is to remove the A-pillers to visually inspect for damage and shrinkage to the drain hoses that can cause leakage inside the cabin and blow out any buildup at the exit ports. Rear drains are also inspected in the same manner if they are accessible, and while there blow out any potential buildup. We also check other potential spots for water intrusion, which are the seal around the front windshield, blower motor and evaporator drains.
